Nancy Kinkead

Nancy Lou Kinkead, age 89, passed away at 1019 Belle's Place in Crawfordsville on June 28, 2026.

Born in Chrisman, Illinois on February 25, 1937 to Joseph Pugh and Naomi Bartlett Pugh, she attended school in Illinois, at Grange Corner, and graduated from Wallace High School. She married Bill Kinkead on September 26, 1989 and he passed away in 2014.  Nancy worked 39 years at R.R. Donnelley's, primarily in the CSC department.

Nancy was previously a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and Women of the Moose. She liked bowling and collecting clowns. Nancy enjoyed boating, fishing, travelling, collecting coins and being a spectator at sporting events. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving family includes: sisters, Loraine Cross, Mary Jo Farley, Janet (Ron) Lehr, Margaret (Dave) Peebles, Sue Thomas, Donna (Steve Shortridge) Poole, and Candy (Greg) Gray; three step-sons; grandchildren, Katrina Burris and Kassi Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Bill Kinkead; parents; brother, John Bartlett; sisters, Betsy Knight, Madge Gill, Beverly MacNorton, and Nola Parker; and in-laws, Perle, Paul, Joe, Butch and Carol.

Visitation for Nancy will be on Wednesday, July 8 from 11 to 1 at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash Avenue. A private Graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery South.
