Mary Ann Riddle of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday afternoon in her home surrounded by her family at the age of 88.

Mary Ann worked in local factories for many years and then at Wal-Mart.  Even after she had to retire, she liked going to Wal-Mart to people watch.  She loved listening to music and going camping.  Most of all, she loved her family.

Born Feb. 20, 1936 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Utterback and Eva Fitzwater Utterback.  She attended Horace Mann School.  She married Larry Riddle on June 24, 1981.  He survives.

Her family included: husband, Larry Riddle of Crawfordsville; three sons, Dale Hall, who preceded her in death, Jim Hall of Crawfordsville, Andy Browning, who preceded her in death; daughter, Sue Ellis (Ernest) of Crawfordsville; twelve grandchildren, Mikel, Marc (who is deceased), Andrew, Anthony, and Mary E. Browning, Luke Hall (Rachel), and Zach Hall, Brittany Perez, Kaliyah Hargis, Jason and Matthew Miller and Brianna Wilkie; many great-grandchildren as well as the Riddle family, who were wonderful to her.

She was preceded in death by her three siblings, Margaret Money, Lester and Don Utterback.

A gathering in memory of Mary Riddle will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Sunday, Nov. 3rd at the Crawfordsville Moose Lodge, 402 Waynetown Road, Crawfordsville.  Dinner following the gathering will be held at the Anchor Building, 953 West County Road 83 North, Crawfordsville.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
