Mary Jane Nelson, of Crawfordsville passed away at her sister's house in Indianapolis surrounded by her family on July 19, 2024. She was 60.

Born in Crawfordsville to Robert Perry, Sr. and Hattie Marie Baldwin Nelson on September 23, 1963. Mary graduated from Crawfordsville High School and then went on to work at the Super 8 Motel for many years. In her free time, she loved to play bingo and she was a former member of the VFW and the Eagles. She also loved reading books and had a large book collection

Surviving family includes: sisters, Ethel Hall, Martha Bowman, Nancy Nelson, and Sandy Abney; brothers, Jack Nelson, George Nelson, and Robert Nelson Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-law Tim Bowman and Rex Hall; sister-in-law Shelia Nelson, one nephew and three nieces.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2PM Friday, July 26th at the Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.  Service will follow the visitation at 2 PM with burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue.
