Mary Patricia Foley Cooper, 93, a longtime resident of Arlington Heights, peacefully left his life the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Ennis Court Nursing Home in Cleveland, Ohio.  She was surrounded by family and loved ones.

Mary Pat was born on April 12, 1928 in Crawfordsville, the oldest of two daughters.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Bernard Foley, and her sister, Ann Klimek.

Mary Pat is survived by her seven children, Robert (Linda) Cooper, Laura (Ron) Sonby, Mark, Liz, John (Pam), Joe and Tim (Douglas) Cooper.  In addition, she passed with twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.

Mary was a stay at home mom for many years, and then, upon moving to Arlington Heights in 1967, subsequently became a CNA at Northwest Community Hospital and held that position until her retirement.  Her co-workers would say what an amazingly caring and tender way she had with her patients.  She also volunteered at an adult day care for Alzheimer's patients later in life. She got great satisfaction out of caring for others and did it well.

Services will be held at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville, on Saturday, Sept. 11th at 11 AM, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery at 12:30 PM.

The family is requesting that donations or contributions be sent to Ennis Court Nursing Home, 13315 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107.  They truly made the last days of her life peaceful for both Mary and her family.
