Marilyn June Holt

June 2, 1933-June 22, 2025

Marilyn June Holt of Darlington passed under the care of her family and Franciscan Hospice Sunday evening at her home.  She was 92.

Mrs. Holt worked in her husband's water drilling business answering the phone.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Crawfordsville.

Born June 2, 1933 in Linden, she was the daughter of William Royer and Evelyn Storms Royer.  She graduated from Linden High School.  She married Howard Holt on Oct. 17, 1954 and he passed away Aug. 22, 2010.

Surviving family includes: daughter Lynette Cox (Mark); two sons, Kevin Holt (Lori) and Brian Holt (Natalie); daughter-in-law, Karen Holt; brother, Melvin Royer; sister, Roann Smith (Larry); eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Clark Holt.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to Noon on Saturday, June 28th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville.  Services will begin at Noon, led by her son, Pastor Brian Holt.  After the service, she will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington.
