Mackenzie Yates

Mackenzie Marie Yates of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday night at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, having just turned 14 nine days earlier.

Born June 13, 2012 at Franciscan Hospital in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Caleb Yates and Amanda Carver Yates.  She was getting ready to start her freshman year of high school.

Surviving family includes: mother, Amanda Yates; sister, Grace Yates; grandpa, Mike Peterson; uncle, Jonathon Acres; uncle and aunt, Joseph and Brittney Wilson; six cousins that she was close with, Dominic Wilson, Karson Swazay, Mia Wilson, Rilynn Hill, Elena Acres and Oakley Hill.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Caleb Yates, and grandmother, Rita Peterson.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 3 PM Saturday, June 27th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash, Crawfordsville.
