Lyewellyn "Lou" Emberton of Crawfordsville went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born September 17, 1941 to the late Craig and Sarah Dowell of Crab Orchard, Kentucky.  Lou married the love of her life Billy Emberton on Dec 21, 1957.  He passed away July 17, 2015.

Lou was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Rockville. She worked at Acuity, then called Hi-Tek, retiring in 1998.  Lou loved to spread the word of the Lord, she chaplain at many hospitals, facilities, nursing homes. She loved fishing, boating, gardening, and canning. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.

She is survived by seven children, Greg Emberton, William Emberton (Rachel), Andy (Wanda) Emberton, Teresa (Kevin) Everett, Belinda (Kerry) Pearson, Tina Richardson, Tim Emberton. Fifteen Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren, two sisters, Minnie Watt and Shirley McKeown.

She was preceded in death by husband Billy Emberton, sons Daryl and Albert Emberton, and three brothers, Vernon, Marvin, and Melvin Dowell.

Visitation will be held at Burkhart Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30 ^th from Noon to 2 PM.  Services will begin at 2 PM, led by Pastor Rick Fay.  After the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
