Louise E. (Miles) Wolf passed away Sunday night at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville, Indiana.  Louise was 96 years old.

She was born Sept. 24, 1923 to Harry and Hazel (VanCleave) Miles at New Market, Indiana.  She graduated from New Market High School in 1941 and worked at R.R. Donnelley and Sons as a linotype operator for 42 years, retiring in 1983.

On June 17, 1944, she married John "Jack" Wolf.  He died June 25, 2008, having been married 64 years.  She and Jack traveled extensively, visiting many foreign countries.

Her memberships included New Market Baptist Church, Donnelley Club, American Legion Auxiliary and the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary, where she was a Pink Lady volunteer for many years, serving from 1983 until she was unable to.  She was dedicated to fundraising to provide assistance for scholarships for graduating seniors interested in nurse's training.

Survivors include one sister, Shirley Clemons (Ed) of Crawfordsville, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Jack; five brothers, Harold, Donald, Herschel (Curt), Robert (John) and Herbert Miles; one sister, Patricia Cochran.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to Noon on Thursday, Feb. 20 at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 12 Noon, led by Pastor Chris Renick.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
