Larry Krout

Larry Earl Krout of Indianapolis passed away Wednesday morning at Methodist Hospital.  He was 73.

Larry was very musical.  He enjoyed playing guitar and performing his music especially for the church.  He was also a DJ and once owned A-1 DJ & Karaoke Service He attended festivals and flea markets as a vendor. He enjoyed collecting old records and loved the Beatles. He liked watching TV, especially NASCAR, the Simpsons, Sammy Terry, Gunsmoke, and a good western.  Larry was an avid race fan attending the Indianapolis 500 annually as well as several races at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Larry and Sandy enjoyed walking together around their neighborhood each day. His memberships included the Alamo Christian Church.  He did several jobs over the years, retiring as custodian from Pike High School.

Born Nov. 19, 1952 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Lawrence E. Krout and Vera Maxine Douglas Krout.  He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1972 and Bible Baptist College in Missouri in 1979.  He married the former Sandra Bayless on October 22, 2005 at Alamo Christian Church.  She survives.

Surviving family includes: wife, Sandy Krout; sister, Carla Lippencott (Bill); nephew, Derrick Lippencott, niece Nikki Brown; great-niece, Karleigh Brown; along with several members of his wife's family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Elizabeth Krout.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday, Jan. 11th at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.  Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 12th at 2 PM.  After the service, he will be laid to rest at Alamo Cemetery.
