Lacey Blanton of New Richmond passed away Tuesday morning at St. Vincent's Hospital at the age of 33.

Lacey liked to write, read, and crochet.  She enjoyed music, singing as well as playing guitar and piano.  She loved helping people and had a deep concern for others.  She worked as the activity's director at ChapelGate.

Born Dec. 9, 1990 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Danny Blanton and Marcy Baker Blanton.  She graduated from Southmont High School.  She had recently earned an associate's degree in sociology and was working on a degree in psychology.

Surviving family includes: parents, Danny and Marcy Blanton of Waveland; two daughters, Raelynn Hise and Adaleigh Hise; son, Layne Hise; two sisters, Lindsay Williams and Erin Rush; two brothers, Joey Blanton and Shawn Blanton; paternal grandfather, LeRoy Blanton; maternal grandmother, Naomi Wertz.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 3:30 PM Saturday, May 11th at Burkhart Funeral Home.  A service will begin at 3:30. A private burial will take place at a later date.
