Obituary

Kathy Ann Hanna
November 14, 1952 – October 9, 2024

Kathy Ann Hanna, 71, of Crawfordsville passed away surrounded by her family on October 9, 2024, after a courageous three-year battle with lung cancer.

Born November 14, 1952, in Crawfordsville IN, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Betty (Oppy) Lipp. Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and attended Vincennes University. Kathy Hanna met the love of her life, Myron Hanna, and they were married April 23, 1983, at First Baptist Church in Crawfordsville IN. Together they shared 41 years of love, happiness, travel and raising their family.

Kathy worked in the cable television industry for 20 years starting out at Crawfordsville Community Cable and later retiring from Marcus Cable. From 1994 to 2023, she and her husband Myron, owned and operated KAM Graphics and sold high school coffee mugs throughout Indiana and Illinois. In addition, they owned and operated a South Bend Chocolate franchise in Lafayette IN.

She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her husband, family, and friends. While her favorite place was always the beach, she was fortunate enough to have traveled to forty of the 50 U.S. States, as well, as Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Though she has traveled far and wide, Kathy would tell you that her family and friends were always her greatest journey.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Myron; her children: Ashley (Jason) Pastore of Crawfordsville IN, Ross (Leslie) Hanna of Fishers IN, and Evan Hanna of Crawfordsville IN; four grandchildren: Mason Pastore and Tucker Pastore of Crawfordsville IN, Theo Hanna and Elle Hanna of Fishers IN; a niece: RaeAnn (Greg) Gochenour of Crawfordsville IN; four nephews: Mark Larew of Crawfordsville IN, Shawn (Linda) Hanna of San Francisco CA, Chad (Nicole) Hanna of Shirley IN, and Craig (Brenda) Hanna of Santa Cruz CA; as well as four great-nieces and eight great nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Betty (Oppy) Lipp and sister Kendra (Lipp) Larew.
