Judith (Judy) Ann Welliever, 86, of Crawfordsville, was welcomed into the presence of her Savior on Sunday, September 13th. Judy was born on July 25, 1940, in Crawfordsville to Emery and Ruth (Hinkle) Monroe.

She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1958 and married Daniel Welliever on June 7 of the same year. Dan and Judy enjoyed 68 years of marriage that was marked by love of their family and service to the Lord. Their faith in Christ and devotion to one another set the foundation for a legacy that will live on for generations. Judy’s favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.

Judy’s greatest joy was being wife to Dan and mother to her three children, Debbie (John) Froedge, Rhett Welliever, and Jamie (Marci) Welliever. Subsequently, she spent decades pouring life into all of her grandchildren: Brandon (Nina) Froedge, Britney (Josh) Carpenter, Rachel Welliever, Boone Welliever, Ty Welliever; “one great-granddaughter, expected in December”, great-granddaughters: Halle, Reilly, Karis, Jessa, Evangeline, and Kaiah Carpenter. She loved spending time with them outdoors, gardening, cooking, fishing, and never missed a sporting event. Family birthdays, holidays, and all the ordinary days with her family were made special by her love, care, and simply her presence.

Judy was known for her generosity, hospitality, and service. She met each day with anticipation for what was ahead and had a special appreciation for God’s beautiful creation displayed through each new season. She did her work with joy and lived with gratitude and vitality. She was a member of Crossway Covenant Church for 51 years where she faithfully served the body of Christ and the surrounding community in countless ways.

Judy is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brother Vern (Delores) Monroe; sister-in-law Mary King (wi8fe of brother, Richard King, deceased) brother-in-law John Welliever (Jeannie, deceased) (Dixie, deceased); sister-in-law Lana Welliever (Bill, deceased). She was preceded in death by her parents Emery and Ruth Monroe; and siblings William (Joan) King, Betty (Fred) Zachary, James (Nancy) Monroe, Joan (Jerry) Townsley.

Visitation will be held at Crossway Covenant on Saturday, September 19th from 10 am to 1:00 pm. A JoyfulCelebration of life will be at 1:00. Graveside services will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
