Judith L. Hamilton of Crawfordsville went to be with the Lord at her son's home Thursday afternoon.  She was 76.

Mrs. Hamilton worked as an executive secretary for McGaughey, Howard and Morell before going to work for Judge Mather as an assistant.  She worked in the office at Ingress Plastene until it closed and later helped with the Red Cross.  She attended Grace & Mercy and later attended Liberty Chapel.  She was a brilliant pianist that played piano for the Sunshine Chorus.  She was a music enthusiast that could play many instruments.

Born Nov. 18, 1943 in Sparta, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Kenneth B. Bain and Shirley Lindley Bain.  She lived in Hallsville, Illinois and attended school at Clinton, Illinois, graduating from Clinton High School.  She attended college and worked for radio station WHOW in Illinois.  She married Perry H. Hamilton July 17, 1965 in Clinton, Illinois.  He passed away March 7, 2008.

Surviving family includes: son, Steve Hamilton (Teresa) of Crawfordsville; two grandsons, Stephen Hamilton, Jacob Hamilton; granddaughters, Haleigh Holland, Chantal Jacot (Brenden), Meara McFall (James Martin), Ahava McFall, Samiyyah Hamilton; three great-grandchildren, Liam Jacot, Sophia Hamilton and Harlan Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

There will not be any public viewing or funeral.  There will be a graveside service on Monday, July 20 ^th at 1 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery North, led by Pastor Jim Canady of Liberty Chapel.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
