Obituary

Joseph Angelini of Crawfordsville passed away on New Year's Eve at Franciscan Health of Lafayette.  He was 75.

Joey was a jack-of-all-trades, who worked as an executive chef and had his own business in Texas.  He served his country in the Navy from Jan. 1965 to Aug. 1967 aboard the U.S.S. Rogers.  He was honorably discharged with a National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.

Born Feb. 9, 1947 in Bay City, Michigan, he was the son of Calvin Kelly Sievert and Josephine Sievert.  He attended school in Bay City.

Surviving family includes: three sisters, Diane Sievert of Bay City, Linda Brandhurst and her husband, Jackie of Crawfordsville and Georgia Carter of Michigan; several nieces and nephews; including niece, Lynette Dumas and extended family, Amanda Dumas and her child, along with Mr. and Mrs. Ellington and their children.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Sievert.

Private burial will take place at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
