Jerry Richey

Sept. 10, 1942-July 5, 2026

Jerry Allen Richey of Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday morning in his home at the age of 83.

Jerry was an entrepreneur from an early age.  He worked in real estate, collected coins, liked reading and learning new things.  He served in the Army National Guard.

Born Sept. 10, 1942 in Scottsburg, Indiana, he was the son of Fred Woodrow Richey and Mildred Faye Richey.  He graduated from Scottsburg High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in accounting.

Surviving family includes: sister, Jeanne Stein of Michigan; three nephews, Jared, James and Jeffrey Stein; companion, Yolanda Rivera; his close friend and POA, Don Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Janet.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM on Friday, July 10th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville.  Services will begin at 11 AM.  Burial will be at the Scottsburg Cemetery at 3 PM on Friday.
