James Michael "Mike" Mennen

James Michael "Mike" Mennen of Plainfield passed away with family by his side on Friday, Nov. 12 ^th after battling respiratory pneumonia.  He was 46.

Mike drove a semi for Progistics Distribution.  He was an avid fan of the Cubs and Colts.  He loved his cat Eddie and riding his Harley.  He was baptized at Connection Point in Brownsburg.

Born Aug. 17, 1975 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Dennis Mennen and Teresa Newlin.  He graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1994 and attended Vincennes.

Surviving family includes: mother, Teresa Newlin; father Dennis (Kathy) Mennen; grandmother, Jean Newlin Keller; brother, Jason (Misty) Mennen; sister, Melissa (Ben) Auxier; step-brother, John Rutan; step-sisters, Julie (Mike)Voigt, Jill Leonard; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Doris Mennen, grandfather, Jake Newlin, cousin, Aaron Edwards and brother-in-law, Aaron Shelton.

In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation will take place, after which there will be a memorial visitation on Friday, Nov. 19 ^th from 4 to 6 PM at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash, Crawfordsville.  A memorial service will begin at 6 PM.
