James "Jim" Leroy Laube

November 18, 1941 to April 9, 2026

James "Jim" Laube passed away on April 9, 2026 at IU Health Arnett, he was 84.

Born in Williamsport, Indiana on November 18, 1941 to Leopold F. and Ruth Ferling Laube. He worked 45 years at R.R. Donnelly as a fork lift driver before retiring in 2007. On July 20, 1962 he married Carolyn Stewart, she passed on April 28, 2024.

Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and mowing his yard. He loved giving everyone a hard time and going on vacations.

Jim is survived by sons, Scott (Gloria) Laube, Mark (Teresa) Laube, Todd (Janelle) Laube and Kevin (Cynthia) Laube; grandchildren, Cody, Brian (Natalee), Luke (Bethany), Aubrey, Alayna, and Rebecca; great-grandson, Carson; sister-in-law, Ethelrae Busick; nephew, Steve; and niece, Kathy.

He was preceded in death by, wife, Carolyn; his parents; son, Stewart Laube; daughter-in-law, Mary Laube; and brother, Bill Laube.

Visitation for Jim will be at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W Wabash Ave, Crawfordsville, on Friday, April 17, from 12 PM to 2 PM, with service starting at 2 PM. Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
