Jacquelyn Belle Hoycus, 80, passed away Sunday morning at her home outside Waveland, Indiana.

Mrs. Hoycus was an artist that worked primarily with paint.  She also enjoyed gardening.  Most of all, she loved being with her family and those closest to her.  She worked several places over the years, including the Pentagon, but was happiest as a stay-at-home mother to her children.

Born April 7, 1943 in Stockton, California, she was the daughter of John N. "Jack" Highley and Cleola Boyd Highley.  She graduated from McLean High School in McLean, Alaska.  She married Robert "Bob" Hoycus and they were married 50 years.  He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2021.

Surviving family includes: son, John (Kimberly) Nicholls; three daughters, Tricia (Steve) Hall, Andrea Hoycus and Kimberly (Matt) Kinne; ten Grandchildren, Emily, Steven (Jhenna), Chelsey (Sean), Travis, Elliot, Kamden, Ethan, Emma, Brielle and Dusty; two great-grandchildren, Nora Belle and Willow; three siblings, Patti, Jim and Vicki.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Catherine.

Her family will remember her life privately.  Cremation arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
