Hubert J. Danzebrink of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday, Sept. 19th at home.  He was 88.

Born March 27, 1933 in Duisberg, Germany, he was the son of Maria and Heinrich Danzebrink.  He married Dorothy Kohl on 1961.  They were blessed with three children: Norbert (Rhonda), Rita (Mark) and Eric; five grandchildren, Alexander, Ellen, Jonathan, Brady and Brenna.

Hubert was a very active, service minded naturalized American citizen, serving on city boards, including Crawfordsville School Board, two terms, Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club, Boy Scouts, where he earned the Silver Beaver Award, Knights of Columbus, Jaycees, as well as membership and service at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.  His biggest commitment was to his family, he would have been married 60 years this October.

Everyone knew Hubert as the "clock maker."  He got his training in Germany, then for a time worked in Switzerland, before coming to Crawfordsville.  He could repair anything or answer your questions about a watch or clock.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Oct. 14, 2021, with visitation from 10 AM to 11 AM and services starting at 11 AM.  Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
