Obituary

Harold Wayne Addler of Crawfordsville passed away Friday, Oct. 24 after battling cancer.  He passed peacefully in his home.

Harold served in the Navy as a mechanic.  Harold did carpentry and was jack of all trades.  He liked fishing and country music.  His favorite was Texas Hold' em and poker.  He loved to gamble.  He was known as Triple H, Harry and Henry by his friends.

Born June 23, 1954, he was the son of Fredrick and Fannybelle (Lane) Addler.

Surviving family includes: his daughter, Dawn Buis (Nate) of Crawfordsville, son, Harley Addler (Tammy) of Evensville, Tennessee; grandson, Braiden Buis of Crawfordsville; granddaughters, Zoey, Cura and Avanna Addler of Evensville, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Barb Addler; several nieces and nephews and their children's children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Harold Wayne Addler, Jr.; sisters, Christi Addler, Sue Pace; brothers, Mike, Rick, and Mark Addler; nephew, Justin Addler and niece, Michelle Addler.

The family would like to thank Select Hospice, Brad, Melissa, Joni, and Leslie, as well as Pastor Chris, as Harold would say the Singing Preacher, for all they did and for their kindness and comfort they gave to Harold.  Thanks to Marian McMurtrey for taking care of him.

A memorial graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 31st at 3:30 PM in the Oakland Cemetery, north of Elmdale with military rites by the American Legion Post 72 honor guard.  Cremation and arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
