Obituary

Flora L. (Huseman) Wilson passed away peacefully Sunday morning. She was 82. Flora lived a life of service, including 30 years volunteering at the FISH food pantry. She was the Montgomery County Community Foundation Volunteer of the Year in 2003.

She loved playing games with her family and was an excellent ping-pong player. She was a league bowler at the local bowling alley for close to 40 years.


Flora was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church for over twenty years and formerly a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Flora was a homemaker until 2002 when she began working for Crawfordsville Monument Co. She retired in 2020 after 18 years.

Born May 2, 1941, in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of Richard Carl Huseman and Juliana Sophia (Bauer) Huseman. She graduated from Alamo High School in 1959 and attended Greenville College.


She is survived by three daughters: Jackie McBride, Janet (Mark) Parker, and Joan Wilson; four grandchildren: Joy (Tyler) Pouros, Sarah Surber, Grant Parker and Zoe Parker; brother Dick Huseman. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dave Huseman, and her husband of 61 years, Jim Wilson.

Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm Thursday, December 7 at Woodland Heights Christian Church. Services will begin at noon.

In place of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made to FISH food pantry, 1306 E. Main Street, Crawfordsville or Woodland Heights Christian Church, 468 N. Woodland Heights Dr., Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
