Everett L. Bamish of New Ross passed away Saturday night at St. Vincent Hospice, surrounded by his three best friends.  He was 89.

Mr. Bamish was a 3 ^rd degree mason in the Greencastle Lodge.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 72.  He farmed in the area north of New Ross for most of his life.

Born Nov. 20, 1929, in New Ross, he was the son of John Edward "Eddie" Bamish and Agnes I. Florence Bamish.  He married Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Baer on August 19, 1949 at Mace.  She passed away April 24, 2014.

He and Beth had one daughter, Carolyn Bamish, and she passed away April 2, 2015.  His survivors include his friends and the people who knew him over the years.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM Saturday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville.  Services with military rites will begin at 11 AM, led by Pastor Dave Bower.  Burial will follow at New Ross Cemetery.
