Obituary

Emma Crouch of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday night at home.  She was 69.

Emma volunteered for the food pantry at Grace & Mercy and worked very hard supporting that effort.  She was a wonderful cook and made great biscuits and gravy.  She also loved to play Bingo.  In addition to the church, she was a member of the Moose Lodge.  For the past 20 years, she did home health care.  She was the most loving giving person, in many ways, throughout her life.

Born April 23, 1950 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Cecil "Sye" Gill and Betty Darlene Waldon Gill McClure.  She married David Crouch on Nov. 15, 1986 in Crawfordsville.  He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband, David Crouch; son, Frankie Lee Hart (Stephanie); three daughters, Evelyn Hart (Tom Livengood), Lynn Smith, SherryLynn Sexton (Lafe Wiatt); brothers, Cecil Gill, Sye Gill (Judy), Joe Gill (Jan), James Edwards, Robin Edwards (Tina); sisters, Janice Reyes, Patty Stearman, Dixie Rosales (Ricardo), Jessica Edwards and Helen Sanders; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Kim Hall and son-in-law, Danny Smith.

Visitation will be from Noon to 2 PM on Wednesday, Dec. 4 th at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 2 PM, led by Pastor Nathan Miller with Sye Andrew Gill assisting.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
