Edward Cox, 87, passed away at 11:48 PM Sunday in the Ben-Hur Home after battling Alzheimer's.

Eddie was born to Graydon and Ruth Cox July 19, 1933 at Garfield.  On April 28, 1961 he married Maxine Drane and she survives.  They were married 59 years.

Eddie farmed most of his life.  He served in the Army for 2 years and also worked for Karle Trucking and John Deere, where he retired.  He was a member of Whitesville Christian Church.

Surviving family includes: wife, Maxine Cox; daughter Sharon (Tim) Bushong; step-son, Clifton (Debbie) Drane; several grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; three nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother, a step-daughter, a step-grandson.

A family service will be led by Pastor Dorman Winger on Saturday at 11 AM at Burkhart Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington.
