Doris A. Middleton

Doris A. Middleton of Waynetown passed away peacefully at home Wednesday at the age of 90.

Mrs. Middleton was an LPN for many years at Culver Hospital in the skilled unit, and later at Whitlock House, retiring from there.  She was a 1953 graduate of Darlington High School.  She liked being outdoors and working in her flower garden.  She especially loved outdoor activities in the spring and summer.

Born Feb. 6, 1934 in Glasgow, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Robert Rogers and Abbie Garner Rogers.  She married William H. Middleton in Nov. 7, 1954 and they had 49 years together until his passing in March 2003.

Surviving family includes: daughter, Linda Siggins; sons, Michael Middleton and Kevin Middleton; daughter, Karen Waldon; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Paul Middleton.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 3 PM on Tuesday, March 12th at Burkhart Funeral Home.  After the visitation there will be a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery North in Crawfordsville.
