Donnie Joe Hubbard, Crawfordsville,  went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, surrounded by family in his home.

He was born October 31, 1951, to Joan Hubbard Nicoson and Donnie E. Hubbard.  He married the love of his life Reda (Otterman), on November 14, 1971.

Donnie graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1969. He attended Spoon River Junior College, in Canton, IL.  He was a dedicated employee of Indiana Bell/Ameritech/ATT from 1970 until he retired in 2002.  He spent his retired years working for Harold Mennen at Elder Heating and Plumbing.   He enjoyed many years of coaching youth league baseball and cheering on his grandchildren in all of their activities.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Reda, his children Tami (Darren) Haas, Heidi (Todd) Gambrel, and his grandchildren Tayla, Demi, Thatcher, Hutton, and Rowan, his mother Joan Nicoson, his brother Wayne (Sandy) Hubbard and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Donnie was a member of Rock Point Church.  He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and humbly volunteered his time to many groups and organizations.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had a strong love for his Lord Jesus.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father Donnie E. Hubbard and his stepfather, Scott Nicoson.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 20, from 3 to 6 PM at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Please follow all CDC guidelines, including social distancing, and wearing a mask.  A private service will begin at 6 PM and will be available on the funeral home Facebook page.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the Montgomery Co. Animal Welfare League.
