Obituary

Donald Lee Wolf of Darlington passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 78.

Don was a very proud veteran of the U.S. Army.  He served from 1960 to 1963 with two years stationed in Hanau, Germany.  He was a member of the Darlington American Legion and the Lutheran Church.  He worked at John Deere in Williamsport before becoming an insurance agent, which he did for the next 45 years.  He enjoyed woodworking, being outside and taking care of his garden.  Most of all, he took care of his kids and his home.

Born May 3, 1943 in New Richmond, he was the son of George Wolfe, Jr. and Florence Powell Wolf Wallace.  He attended school at Attica, Winthrop and Independence and graduated from Pine Village High School.  He married Elana Alt Campbell on June 27, 1965.  She survives.

Surviving family includes: wife of 56 years, Elana Wolf; two sons, Vance Wolf (Joanna Gray) of Darlington, Heath Wolf (Christi) of Crawfordsville; daughter, Corinna Wright (Darrell) of Texas; five siblings, Beverly Morgan of Independence, Judy Green of Lafayette, David Green of Attica, Annette Crane of Attica, Brad Wolfe of Rockville; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Raelyn Earley, brother, Steve Wolfe and sister, Patricia Solomon.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public service.  Cremation arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.  Online condolences may be made at www.BurkhartFH.com.
