Donald J. McKinney

Donald J. McKinney of Crawfordsville passed away Friday night, after a nine month battle with pancreatic cancer, at Franciscan Health- Crawfordsville at the age of 61.

Donnie was a delivery person for the Indianapolis Star and Journal Review.  He enjoyed riding Harley's.  When Donnie was younger—he was an amazing left handed pitcher. He loved playing backgammon and euchre, and watching Chuck Norris movies and loved math. He loved music and going to concerts and he loved to eat and drink milk

Born Jan, 6, 1963 in Lebanon, he was the son of J. B. McKinney and Sandra Sue Hernandez McKinney.  He attended Crawfordsville schools.  He married Trish Gaskins and she survives.

Surviving family includes: wife, Trish Gaskins; daughter, Samantha Steele; two grandchildren, Gavynn Hayes and Kylan Steele; eight siblings, Brenda Mills, Rick McKinney, Jeff McKinney, Christina Bischof, Aaron McKinney, Nicole Morrison, J. B. McKinney, Jr., and Robert McKinney.

Visitation will be from 2 PM to 5 PM Thursday, Nov. 14th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash.  Services will begin at 5 PM, led by Pastor Sam Fitch.
