Clyde Daniel Barrett

Clyde Daniel "Dan" Barrett of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday morning in Mulberry Health at the age of 73.

Dan was a member of Calvary Baptist in Crawfordsville.  He liked to fish and spend time with his family, as well as his buddy, Tim Poole.  He owned his own business, doing general carpentry for over 40 years.

Born Jan. 22, 1951 in Milan, Indiana, he was the son of Brice Barrett and Polly Johnson Barrett.  He graduated from Moores Hill High School.

Surviving family includes: two sons, Toby (Angie) Barrett of Darlington and Brian (Casey) Barrett of Vevay; daughter, Debbie (Jake) Barber of Columbus, Indiana; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda (Tom) Wetzler of Osgood, Indiana; brother, Bob Barrett of Pensacola, Florida; sister-in-law, Jeri Barrett of Mount Sinai, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dale Barrett.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Details will be announced as they are available.  Dan's final resting place will be in the Mount Sinai Cemetery in Dearborn County.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
