Christopher P. Holzhauer of Champaign, Illinios, passed away Friday afternoon in Linden, Indiana.  He was 46.

Chris was a truck driver all his working life.  He loved racing and working on engines for everyone's car.  Most of all, he loved being with family and his friends.  He was a 1992 graduate of Prairie Central High School in Fairbury, Illinois.

Born April 11, 1974 in Pontiac, Illinois, he was the son of Gerald Holzhauer and Bonnie Bentley Holzhauer.  He married the former Amy Arnold on Dec. 7, 2013.

Surviving family includes: wife, Amy Holzhauer; two daughters, Jessica Blake, April Holzhauer; son, Gerald Holzhauer; three step-children that were like his own, Tyler Arnold, Samantha Tolch, Tomi Tolch; grandmother who raised him, Dolores Holzhauer; five grandchildren, Hunter, Gage, Remington, Faith, and Mikey; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandfather who raised him, and granddaughter, Maryann.

His family hopes to have a service to remember his life when restrictions are lifted and they can all be together.  Cremation arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
