Charles R. Price of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday morning at Whitlock House at the age of 91.

Charlie retired from Merchant's Bank as a trust officer, having served in that role for many years when it was called Elston Bank.  He was an avid Red Sox fan that coached little league for many years and later was baseball coach for the Eagles.  He was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church, where he taught Sunday school for over 50 years.  He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite and Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow.  He also served in the National Guard.

Born March 13, 1929 in Covington, he was the son of Archie Price and Ruby Shaw Price.  He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1947 and Wabash College in 1951 with a history degree.  He married Patricia Coady Pishaw on June 25, 1961.

Surviving family includes: wife, Pat Price; two sons, David (Sarah) Price, Tom (Kelly) Price; three daughters, Laura (Greg) Binford, Sally (Joe) Chamness, Jane (Phil) Pirani; nineteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Martha Bausch.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Price.

Private services will be at 11 AM Tuesday at Woodland Heights Christian Church, led by Pastor Steve Wilke.  Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery South.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to F.I.S.H. Food Pantry, P.O. 261, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
