Charlene Murphy Weaver, loving wife and mother, went to her heavenly home on May
16th , 2023. She was 75.
Born in Troy, NY on December 4th , 1947 she was the oldest of eight children by Charles
and Elizabeth (Post) Murphy. She graduated from Stillwater High School in Stillwater, NY
in 1965.
In 1967 she married the love of her life, Keith Weaver. They had three children.
Survivors include her husband, Keith; son Jason (Sharon) Weaver, daughter Kellie Sosbe,
daughter, Susan Sosbe; grandchildren Torie, Jake, Kris, Kane, and Kyle; three great-
grandchildren; sister Colleen Miller and brothers Jim (Karol) and Tom Murphy, many
nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Karen Perretta and Judith Terns and
brothers Patrick and Joseph Murphy.
She worked for many years as Secretary to the Superintendent at Mount McGregor
Correctional Facility before happily retiring in 2002.
She lived a life that is impossible to summarize but it was one that was full of God, love
and wisdom. She also loved gardening, reading, crafting, painting, crocheting, knitting,
genealogy, fishing, long drives and camping…and the smores that went with it. She
loved her country and was an unapologetic proud supporter of President Trump.
She greatly missed her Tuesday lunches with her dear friends when they moved from
New York to Indiana in 2021.
In lieu of sending flowers, her family asks that you plant flowers, feed the birds, spend
quality family time making memories or donate to your local animal shelter.
Perhaps most importantly…cherish every moment you have with your loved ones
because this life we have been blessed with is never long enough.
