Carolyn Jane Christensen, age 85, passed away at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville on August 28, 2026.

Born in Crawfordsville to Ralph and Helen Lane Dickerson on February 10, 1941, she earned her Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and went to work in the insurance industry. She was a member of the Eastern Star, attended the American Legion and her most important role was being there for her family and children.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jason (Barbara) Figg; grandchildren, Jason, David, Mikaylin, Miranda and Casey; several great-grandchildren; sister, Lorayne (Larry) Summers; and many nieces and nephews, especially her nephew, Eric Nagel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Stephanie Gibson; siblings Larry, Tom and Elayne; and her partner Dan Burwash.
