Billy H. Henderson of Crawfordsville passed away peacefully at his home.  He was 92.

Born Jan. 1, 1929 in Springfield, Tennessee, he was the son of Elvis Henderson and Annie Lorene Moore Henderson, and youngest boy of nine siblings. He married the former Margie Fryer on June 18, 1948.  She passed away on February 27, 2015.

Mr. Henderson received a degree in Business Administration from Ball State University while serving with the U.S. Air Force.  After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the Indiana State Highway Department and the Veteran's Administration.

As a devout Christian, he attended First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville, during which time he delivered meals on wheels and developed friendships which lasted until his passing.  He also enjoyed gardening and playing golf.

Surviving family includes: daughters, Judy Ford and Nancy Cloncs; sons, Billy (Sandra) Henderson, Tom (Robyn) Henderson, David (Lesa) Henderson, Robert Henderson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Louise Brown and Betty Faye Cayton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter, Kathy Fulford, daughter-in-law, Terri Henderson, brothers, Dugan, Roy, and Douglas and sisters, Christine Draughn, Goldie Mae Graves and Evelyn Lemley.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.  His ashes will be laid to rest at the Mace Cemetery at a later date. A private celebration of life is also planned for a later date.
