Obituary

Billy L. Campbell of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday morning at the Ben Hur Home.  He was 87.

Mr. Campbell served in the National Guard.  He was a very sweet and great man to be around.  He loved his work, starting at Stewart Warner in Lebanon, and then as a product designer in the engineering department at Hi-Tek.  He loved to fish, golf, hunt, play euchre, hunt mushrooms, take long drives and enjoyed taking care of his cute little dog, Jett.

Born March 18, 1932 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Harry Campbell and Mabel Lewellen Campbell.  He married Dona DeLay on Dec. 22, 1951.

Surviving family includes: daughter, Linda S. Campbell; six grandchildren, Chastity Cuevas, Shuree Blankenship, Celeste Cuevas, Eli Cuevas, Cameron (Ashley) Campbell, Chea Cuevas; six great-grandchildren, Mason, Dylan, Ryden, Brooklyn, Aiden, Carter and Jace; former son-in-law, Henry Cuevas; niece and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dona Campbell, sister, Betty Stinchcomb and daughter, Theresa Cuevas.

Visitation will be from Noon to 2 PM on Thursday, January 9 th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Avenue.  Services will begin at 2 PM, led by Pastor Steve Whicker.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery Grant Avenue.
