William "Bill" Watson of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday morning at Whitlock Place, having just turned 75 two days prior.

Bill worked as a machinist at R. R. Donnelly and after retirement from there went to work at Alcoa in Lafayette and later retired from there.  He was a 1963 graduate of Roachdale High School.

Born March 16, 1945 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Richard Watson and Frances Galloway Watson.  He married Judith Sue Watson in Sept. 1985 and she passed away in Sept. 2016.

Surviving family includes: two sons, Ron Watson and Jeff Watson; two daughters, Janice Burns Watson and Pamela Watson; sister, Linda Miller-Friars; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donnie Watson.

A memorial graveside service will be held Monday at 1 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery North, led by Pastor Bruce White.  Arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home.
