In Loving Memory of Betty Lou Norris

Betty Lou Norris, 76, of Crawfordsville, peacefully departed this world on January 2, 2024 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. Born on May 15, 1947, to Ezra and Mary Oaks and united in marriage with the love of her life, Robert Elliot Norris, on July 5, 1967 in Waynesburg, Kentucky.  Graduating in 1965 from Crawfordsville High School, Betty was a member of the Crawfordsville First Assembly church.

Betty's journey in life was marked by her commitment to her roles as a mother and a dedicated homemaker. Having initially worked at a few local factories in her 20's, Betty made the heartfelt decision to prioritize her children as a full-time at-home mother after the birth of her daughter. Her love and nurturing spirit created a warm and loving home that became the heart of countless cherished memories for her family.  She greatly enjoyed working in and enjoying nature through her gardening, bird watching, and

travels to scenic places, all while praising our Lord for all He has created for us.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of love survived by her son, Robert "Kevin" Norris of Crawfordsville, her daughter, Brandie (Jeremy) Hughes of Crawfordsville, and her brother, Paul Oaks of Lebanon, IN.  She was preceded in death by her parents in 1975/76, her husband Robert in 2007, and a brother, Junior Oaks.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours at Burkhart Funeral Home in Crawfordsville, IN, on Friday, January 5th, starting at 1 pm, with the funeral service commencing at 3 pm.  Betty Lou Norris will be fondly remembered for her kindness, strength, and the enduring love she bestowed upon all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
