Barbara J. Williams

May 14, 1942-June 24, 2026

Barbara J. Williams of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday night at Franciscan Health in Lafayette.  She was 84.

Mrs. Williams was a wonderful homemaker, who loved to cook and fixed great meals.  She kept everything and everyone clean.  She was a great wife, mother and grandmother.  She was very close with all her family and enjoyed getting them all together.  She had a regular weekly phone call with her sister, Bennie, to stay in touch.  She always saw the best in everyone.  In addition to her duties as homemaker, she also spent 11 years at R.R. Donnelley, working in the kitchen.  In her spare time, she enjoyed doing word searches.

Born May 14, 1942 in Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Acie Taylor and Ruth Bolt Taylor.  She attended school at Liberty.  She married Ronald Williams on Jan. 1, 1957.  He survives.

She is survived by her loving family, which includes: husband, Ronald Williams; son Ken Williams (Sharon); daughter, Debbie Rhodes (Kent); son Kevin Williams (Gigi); son, Mike Williams (Lisa); sister, Brenda Shreiner; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ronald V. Williams, granddaughter, Morgan Williams, sister, Norma Snyder and a brother, Hurley Gale Taylor.

Visitation will be at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash, from 10 AM to Noon on Monday, June 29th.  Services will begin at Noon, led by Pastor Ron Brown.  After the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery South.
