Anna L. Morgan of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday night at the Ben Hur Home.  She was 79.

Born Sept. 14, 1939 in Crawfordsville, she was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School, class of 1957.  She worked as a secretary at Wabash College, retiring April 26, 1996.  She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a strong servant of the Lord and for others.

She married Julian Paul "J.P." Morgan on Dec. 28, 1956.  He passed away Dec. 15, 2004.

Surviving family includes: three sons, Ray Morgan of Crawfordsville, Jaye Morgan (Denise) of Lynchburg, VA, James Morgan (Linda) of Mesa, Arizona; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha and Carolyn.

Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, July 23 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, with visitation starting at Noon.  Burial will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.

The family requests the omission of flowers.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anna Morgan may be made to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 2957 West U.S. 136, Crawfordsville, IN 47933 or to the Backpack Program at Sommer Elementary, which can also be mailed in care of the church.
