Andrew "Andy" Sutton

Andrew Sutton of Crawfordsville passed away Friday morning after fighting a battle with cancer.  He was 45.

Andy was a people person who liked socializing and having a good time.  He was a member of the Eagles and also liked going to Francis and Mount.  He worked at Acuity Brands Lighting for 24 years, starting in 1997.  He was a fan of IU and the Cubs.  He also liked to play golf.  Most of all, he loved his family very much.

Born July 29, 1976 in Greencastle, he was the son of Larry Sutton and Ralene Sutton.  He graduated from North Putnam High School in 1994.  He married Rebecca "Becky" Layton and she survives.

Surviving family includes: wife, Rebecca Sutton of Crawfordsville; daughter, Madison Sutton; brother, Eric Sutton; two sisters, Julie (Stan) Hayes, Dena (Craig) Simmons; mother-in-law, Linda Layton; father-in-law, Don Layton; brother-in-law, Eric Layton; three nieces, Megan and Macey Simmons, Laken Miller; nephew, Brandon Chitwood; as well as many, many friends, co-workers and people he cared about that cared about him.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 2 to 6 PM at Burkhart Funeral Home.  It will conclude with a short prayer service at 6 PM.
