Albert “Al” Lee Lowery

July 26, 1953 to November 4, 2026

Al Lowery of Darlington passed away on November 4, 2026, at Franciscan Health of Lafayette. He was 73.

Born in Lafayette, Indiana to Louis and Arlene Grimes Lowery, on July 26, 1953. Al attended Linden High School and on February 23, 1974, he married Janice Lyon, she preceded him in death on April 20, 2018. He was self-employed most of his life and also spent time in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his sister, Ruth (Pete) Osborn, and his children: Jason Casey, AmyJo Lowery, Lee (Sally) Lowery, Angie (Chuck) Logan, Nikki (Chris) Cogdill, and Matt Lowery.

He was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who brought much joy to his life.

He was a proud member of the Moose Lodge and cherished the many friendships he made throughout his life. Whether old friends or new, he considered many of them family.

Above all, he loved his family and friends. He also had a passion for cars and enjoyed building and working on things. These interests, along with the relationships he built along the way, were an important part of who he was and the life he lived.

A celebration of life will be on Sunday November 8th from 10-1 at the Moose Lodge 402 Waynetown Rd. Crawfordsville, IN.
